Kyeong Bae, the 19-year-old phenom from
Seoul, Korea, won the IOS FUTURES Golf Classic on the
Futures Tour using two Nickent ARC Wedges and carrying
a Nickent bag this weekend.
K.B.,
as she is called on the FUTURES Golf Tour, has used ARC
Wedges since her rookie year in 2004. She scored seven
Top 10’s last year and made 17 of 18 cuts in a year
that included two second-place finishes. She finished
the year eighth on the Futures Tour money list last year
and plans to hone her skills one more year on the Futures
Tour before heading to the LPGA Tour.

Tour. ARC scored a Major win at the KLPGA’s Shinsegue
Open last year, an LPGA win at the 2004 Asahi Ryokuken
International Championship and now a Futures Tour win
with K.B. |
Nickent Golf’s 3DX Ironwood enjoyed
its off-season as the #1 most played hybrid on the Nationwide
Tour, but the 3DX got right back to work, helping a player
win the Bell South Panama Championship Sunday. The 3DX
Ironwood was also the # 1 and # 2 finishing hybrid in
the tournament.
Both the champion and the 6th place finisher in Panama
used a 17° 3DX Ironwood. The win was the 3rd career
victory for the 3DX player, the most money he has ever
made in a single event. He goes into the next Nationwide
Tour event Feb. 14 as # 1 on the official money list with
$94,500.
“This is by far the biggest accomplishment of my
career,” said the winner. “I am 39 years old
and about to be 40. I am getting to the point in my career
where I need to start doing something. Hopefully this
will be a breakout year for me.” |
Three players using Nickent’s 3DX
Ironwood hybrid finished in the Top 5 at the Nationwide
Tour Championship. The 3DX Ironwood clearly stood above
the other hybrids Sunday, finishing 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th
out of all hybrids in play.
Four players using the 3DX Ironwood finished in the Top 20 on the Nationwide
Tour money list and will be moving up to the PGA next year, including the
#3 and #4 ranking players on the final money list. All of the players using
the Nickent hybrid were praising the performance benefits of the club.
“I put the Nickent hybrid 18.5° in play at the Nationwide Tour Championship,
where it helped me finish tied for 3rd,” said Nationwide Tour player Jason
Caron. “The 18° is a 2 iron for me and it has a great trajectory
off the tee and it rips through the wind off the deck. This club is awesome.”
The 3DX earned 16 Top 10’s on the PGA Tours in 11
weeks, including two second place finishes on the PGA
Tour and the three Top 5 finishes at the Tour Championship. |

and eighth place finishers at the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro. It was

nearly $500,000 and the best finish of his career. The 11-time Q-School finalist
moved from 153rd on the money list to 83rd, securing him a regular spot on the
2005 PGA Tour.
"I'm definitely relieved, I can tell you that," said the Nickent 3DX
user. "I can't believe they're going to give me a half million dollars.
What a good time."

used a
Nickent 52-degree ARC wedge en route to a three-stroke victory over
the
LPGA's #4 ranking player.

of
the most used wedges on the LPGA Tour. Nickent then shifted its Tour focus
to the Nationwide Tour in August.
Even after 3 months of no representation on the LPGA Tour, 12 ARC wedges
were in play at the Asahi Ryokuken International Championship, according
