July 12th, 2005 - The PIPE
Putter by Nickent Golf once again helped a tour player
to their best putting performance of the season, this
time in a Major event on the Champions Tour. In its first
week in the bag, the PIPE Putter drastically improved
the 5th place finisher’s putts per round from an
average of 29.46 to 26.3. This impressive 3-stroke swing
led the player to a 2nd place ranking in putting and a
5th place finish at the Ford Senior Players Championship.
Previously the 22nd ranked putter on the Champions Tour,
the PIPE catapulted the player up to the # 2 putting ranking
in the second major tournament of the 2005 Champions Tour.
The PIPE player is a 3-time PGA Tour Major champion, including
the 1983 U.S. Open. He is a 10-te PGA Tour winner and
19-time winner on the Champions Tour. His putting had
slipped a fraction in 2005 from previous years until he
found the benefits the PIPE’s 3–dimensional
aid on the practice green of the Ford Senior Players Championship.
A few hours of work with the PIPE and it replaced his
traditional anser-like putter for the start of the tournament.
His big finish at the major event moved him from 59th
to 27th in the Charles Schwab Cup Points standings.
The PIPE has now helped players on all the 4 top U.S.
Tours have their best putting rounds of the 2005 season.
Players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Nationwide Tour and
now Champions Tour have posted their lowest amount of
putting strokes with the PIPE lining up their putts. |

| July 12th, 2005 - The 3DX hybrid routed
the # 2 hybrid manufacturer by a 16-club margin at the
Pete Dye Classic this week on the Nationwide Tour. With
37 hybrids in play, the 3DX scored the highest number
of hybrids in play in any PGA or Nationwide Tour event
in 2005.
What sets Nickent apart from the rest is that it is
accomplishing this without a single staff or compensated
player on either Tour. This week alone, the 3DX scored
a Top 5 finish at the Scottish Open in the
bag of the 13th ranked player in world, a Top 10 finish
in the bag of a PGA Tour rookie at the John Deere Classic
and two top 5 finishes at the Pete Dye Classic on the
Nationwide Tour.

Amid little fanfare, a former Nationwide
Tour player and PGA Tour rookie put together four solid
rounds to finish in the Top 15 of the U.S. Open Sunday.
He used a 17-degree 3DX Ironwood that he has been using
since it was introduced to him on the 2004 Nationwide
Tour. He finished last season third on the Nationwide
Tour money list with $313,000 and was one of five players
playing the 3DX to graduate to the PGA Tour. Half way
through the 2005 season, the player now sits 68th on the
PGA Tour money list with winnings of $621,718.
At this week’s Knoxville Open, the 3DX Ironwood
was the # 1 most played hybrid on the Nationwide Tour
for the 5th straight event. Four players using a 3DX Ironwood
finished in the Top 10 in Knoxville. This gives the 3DX
an amazing 31 Top 10 finishes in the 23 events since the
hybrid was introduced to the tour. Currently, seven of
the Top 25 Nationwide players that will move up to the
PGA Tour next year have put the 3DX in the bag. |
| # 1 hybrid ranking, 2nd place
finish on Nationwide Tour, 5th place finish on PGA Tour
Going into the halfway point of the
2005 PGA Tour season, marked by this week’s U.S.
Open, there is no club hotter than Nickent Golf’s
3DX Ironwood.
The 3DX, the winningest hybrid on the PGA and Nationwide
Tours in 2005, earned the #1 hybrid ranking for the
4th straight week on the Nationwide Tour. Twenty-nine
3DX’s were in play at the LaSalle Bank Open, home
of the Tour’s largest purse with $750,000. Nickent
did not have a single endorsed or compensated player
in the field.
On the PGA Tour this week, the 3DX was in play by the
5th place finisher at the Booz Allen Classic. The player,
another long-time 3DX user from the 2004 Nationwide
Tour, enjoyed his best ever finish on the PGA Tour.
He now sits 77th on the PGA Tour money list and is the
2nd highest-ranking 2004 Nationwide Tour alumni.

The 3DX Ironwood by Nickent was the # 1
most played hybrid for the third straight event on the
Nationwide Tour at the Chattanooga Classic, according
to the Darrell Survey.
Twenty-seven 3DX's were in play in Chattanooga, including
players ranging from the Golf Channel's Big Break II winner,
3 players in the Top 10 of the official money list and
a 5-time winner on the PGA Tour.
The 3DX has ranked as high as the #2 hybrid on the PGA
Tour, debuting at that position at last week’s St.
Jude Classic.
In the category of Tour victories, no other hybrid has
been as successful as the 3DX in 2005. The 3DX is the
winningest hybrid on the Nationwide and PGA Tours in 2005
with 3 wins. The 3DX had 4 total Tour wins in the month
of May. |

The winner of the European Tour's flagship
event used a Nickent 3DX Ironwood off the tee and fairway
in his two-stroke victory Sunday. "It's
amazing to have won the second most important tournament
in Europe,? said the BMW champ. "I'm very happy about
that."
The BMW Championship winner used a 17-degree 3DX Ironwood
numerous times throughout the tournament to help him clinch
the event where he had twice been a runner up. The win
catapulted the player to 3rd on the European Tour Order
of Merit and 14th in the world rankings.
The victory gives the 3DX its 4th Tour win in the last
5 weeks. (The 3DX was also in the bags of European
Challenge Tour winner last weekend at the XX Tessali-Metaponto
Open, the Henrico County Open winner one week ago on the
Nationwide Tour and the Zurich Classic of New Orleans
champion on the PGA Tour.) |
If there’s any question to who the
hottest golf club on Tour is, Nickent Golf made a strong
argument this weekend with another win on Tour.
Their 3DX Ironwood won on the PGA Tours for the second
time in four weeks Sunday with a victory at the Nationwide
Tour’s Henrico County Open. The 3DX also claimed
the # 1 hybrid ranking for the second straight week on
the Nationwide Tour and earned three Top 10’s at
the event. Twenty-seven 3DX’s in six different lofts
were in play.
This week’s Time Magazine called the 3DX “this
season’s hot hybrid newcomer” in a category
they described as” the most explosive trend in golf
clubs.”
A big factor in determining a clubs “hotness”
and success at retail is how many wins it can produce
on the world’s top professional Tours. Three victories
this year makes the 3DX the winningest hybrid on the 2005
PGA and Nationwide Tours. Only one other hybrid has won
on the two Tours this year. |
Nickent Golf earned the #1 hybrid ranking
at the Rheem Classic this week on the Nationwide Tour
with 30 3DX Ironwoods in play. It is the most clubs the
company has ever had in play in their 19 weeks on the
Nationwide Tour and it is one of the largest hybrid counts
in the history of the PGA and Nationwide Tours.
It is the 3DX's 6th #1 ranking in the 13 events since
Nickent first claimed the hybrid crown in 2004. This is
especially impressive given that the old #1 ranking hybrid
manufacturer has 28 full-time staff players on the Nationwide
Tour. At the Rheem Classic, the #2 ranking hybrid had
13 of those endorsed players in the field.
Nickent, a medium-sized company out of Los Angeles, does
not have a professional tour staff or a tee-up compensation
program to entice players to put their clubs into play.
Nickent more than doubled the amount of hybrids of the
#3 ranking hybrid manufacturer, while #4, another Carlsbad,
CA manufacturer known for its large Tour staff, had only
four hybrids in play. |
The winner of the Zurich Classic of New
Orleans won with a 17-degree 3DX Ironwood in his bag,
according to the Darrell Survey. It is only the second
time this season a hybrid has been in the bag of a PGA
Tour champion and it is the first ever win for Nickent
Golf on the coveted PGA Tour. The winner earned his first
PGA Tour victory in his 119th career start and a two-year
exemption on the PGA Tour. The first place finish netted
the winner $990,000, catapulting him to 18th on the money
list.
The 3DX Ironwood is the fastest growing hybrid on the
PGA Tour with 12 clubs in play at the Zurich Classic.
The 3DX didn't stop at winning for the first time on the
biggest Tour in golf. The 3DX earned a Top 10 at the Virginia
Beach Open on the Nationwide Tour - its eighth Top 10
after only six events this year. In the 17 events since
its introduction to the Nationwide Tour, the 3DX has earned
an amazing 24 Top Ten finishes. On the Champions Tour this
week, the 2004 Champions Tour Player of the Year earned
his second consecutive Top 10 with a 3DX Ironwood in the
bag. |
