Nickent Golf had a winning hand at the Gila River Golf Classic in Arizona. Not only did the winner of the event carry a 3DX Ironwood for his first Nationwide Tour victory and a guarantee that he will play on the PGA Tour next year, but Nickent also claimed the # 1 hybrid ranking on the Nationwide Tour for the fourth straight week.

Thirty-three 3DX's in seven different lofts were put into play, beating the next closest hybrid manufacturer by a 12-club margin. The 38-year-old winner, an Australian, finished with a 20-under 268, giving Nickent their third Nationwide Tour victory of the season.

At the event marking the one-year anniversary of taking over the # 1 hybrid position on the Nationwide Tour, Nickent Golf celebrated in style with yet another # 1 hybrid ranking and six out of the Top 10 finishers using their 3DX Ironwood.
The event was the Mark Christopher Charity Classic in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, an event that Nickent refers to as its homecoming event due to the close proximity of the event to the Nickent headquarters and the fact that the 3DX began its rise to fame at the tournament.

In the year since the 3DX hybrid first defeated a giant manufacturer for the hybrid title, the 3DX has earned 54 Top 10 finishes in only 36 events. The 3DX has also earned the # 1 ranking in over half the events in that time period. Nickent beat the # 2 ranking hybrid this week by 11 golf clubs.

The 3DX by Nickent Golf earned three top 10 finishes at the Alberta Classic on the Nationwide Tour Sunday, including two third place finishes. The top performances made for Nickent?s 29th Top 10 of the 2005 season, which consists of 23 events.

Deutsche Bank Championship

The 3DX was a part of two course records at the difficult TPC of Boston over the long weekend. A German player, who received a foreign exemption to enter the tournament, tied the course record on Saturday with a 9-under 62 in just his second PGA TOUR event.

Another player using a 3DX Ironwood set a course record with a 28 on the back nine Sunday. He sits 84th on the official 2005 PGA Tour money list.

The 3DX Ironwood by Nickent Golf once again scored the # 1 hybrid ranking this week with one of the highest club counts of the year on the PGA Tours. Thirty-seven 3DX hybrids in play at the Nationwide Tour's Cleveland Open best hybrid manufacturer by 16 clubs.

The number of 3DX clubs in play was so large and the margin of victory so lopsided that the 3DX actually ranked as the # 2 overall wood model in the field, including all drivers, fairway woods and hybrid models in play. Only Taylor Made?s R7 driver had more of any wood model in play.

The 3DX Ironwood accounts for one-third of all hybrids in play on the Nationwide Tour in 2005. It is by far the # 2 most played hybrid on the PGA and Nationwide Tours in 2005 with over 700 units in play on the year, all without Nickent endorsing a single player to use the club.

A player using a 3DX Ironwood finished 2nd at the Price Cutter Charity Championship Sunday, losing by one stroke to the eventual winner after posting twenty under par. It was the 39th Top Ten earned by a 3DX hybrid in the 31 Nationwide Tour events since the club was introduced to the tour one year ago at the 2004 Price Cutter event.

The 3DX player sits 8th on the Nationwide Tour money list with $206,799 and is virtually guaranteed full exemption to the PGA Tour in 2006. Of his 4 top tens this year; he has one win, one second, and one third place finish. The win came at the season opening BellSouth Panama Championship, where the champion said his 17° 3DX Ironwood was “a key reason for my win.”

Last year, the player finished 53rd on the 2004 Nationwide Tour money list. With the edition of the 3DX Ironwood to his bag, the player has had his most consistent year since turning pro in 1990, making 13 of 16 cuts.

The 3DX Ironwood by Nickent Golf earned 2 Top 10 finishes on the PGA Tour this week at the Reno-Tahoe Open and 2 Top 10 finishes on the Nationwide Tour at the Xerox Classic.

On the two PGA Tours combined this year, the 3DX has been in the bag for 37 Top 10 finishes (25 Nationwide Tour, 12 PGA Tour).

A PGA Tour rookie used a PIPE Putter and a 3DX Ironwood at the INTERNATIONAL for the second best finish of his young PGA Tour career. The player had a tournament best and career best 22 putts per round in the second round, catapulting him to the top of the leader board in the Stableford scoring event. It was one of the best putting rounds of any player on the PGA Tour this year. He finished the event T-8 in putts per round with the 3-dimensional PIPE Putter.

Nickent's 3DX Ironwood was #2 most played hybrid on the PGA Tour for the second week in a row at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee. Seventy-five percent of the 3DX players in Milwaukee made the cut and moved up the PGA Tour money list. The success players are experiencing with the 3DX has not gone unnoticed. In the last two weeks, Nickent gained six new players on the PGA Tour.

Nationwide Tour: The 3DX was the highest finishing hybrid at the Canadian PGA Championship with a third place finish. It was the player's best finish of the year.

European Tour: The 13th ranked player in the world continued his brilliant play with his 3DX Ironwood in 2005, earning a second place at The Deutsche Bank Players Championship after three sudden death playoff holes. The red-hot player recently earned a victory at the BMW Championship and a share of third place at the Nissan Irish Open. The player frequently uses a 17-degree 3DX Ironwood off the tee and fairway. He is now ranked 3rd on the European Tour Order of Merit.

LPGA Tour

The 3DX Ironwood claimed its 6th worldwide victory of 2005 last week, giving the high-performance hybrid victories on 4 major tours this year PGA Tour (1), Nationwide Tour (2), European Tour (2), LPGA Tour (1).

The winner of the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic on the LPGA Tour won with a 20 degree 3DX Ironwood in her bag. It was the first win for the LPGA player after 5 and a half seasons on the LPGA Tour, and it was the first event the player put the 3DX in her bag. The player now ranks 13th on the LPGA Tour money list.

PGA Tour

The 3DX Ironwood finished as the # 2 most played on the PGA Tour this week at the BC Open. Overall, the 3DX hybrid is the # 2 most played hybrid on the 2005 PGA and Nationwide Tours with over 100 players choosing to play the club for no compensation.
