There was a battle between the current #1
and #2 players on the PGA Tour at the Buick Open this
weekend, and while the # 1 player in the world showed
he was still the most dominant player to ever play the
game, the player who finished second has a lot to be smiling
about this season.
His success with a Nickent hybrid this year makes Nickent
the highest-ranking hybrid on the PGA Tour money list,
a fact that makes Nickent gush with pride.
The Nickent hybrid has been in the bag for all 8 of his
Top Three finishes, making the 3DX one of the most high
profile hybrids on the PGA Tour this year. That success,
however, is not changing the young companies overall philosophy. |
It
was the first career tour victory for the 20-year-old
from Florida, who uses a Nickent 3DX DC Utility with a
UST SR2 shaft (the stock shaft for the DC Utility.)
She was seeded 39th in the match play event and had not
received much fanfare despite a seventh-place finish in
last weekend's U.S. Women's Open.
Now she is the fourth first-time winner of 2006, two of
whom play Nickent products. (The other first-time winner
is
Joo Mi Kim, who used a PIPE Putter to win the first LPGA
event of the season.) |

Lately, there seems to be two key elements
to winning on the Nationwide Tour. First, you must be
entered in the event. Second, it seems you should have
a Nickent 3DX hybrid in your bag.
Nickent Golf is setting milestones on the Nationwide Tour
this year with 3 wins in a row and 4 wins in the last
5 events. Eleven players in the Top 30 on the money list
play Nickent 3DX DC hybrids, and Nickent is # 1 in victories,
# 1 in Top 10 finishes and # 1 for overall hybrids in
play on the 2006 Tour. |
What a week for scorching Nickent Golf!
Not only did the # 3 ranked player on the PGA Tour
finish 2nd at the 106th U.S. Open using their hybrid,
Nickent was in the winning bag of the Knoxville Open
champion on the Nationwide Tour. It was their 3rd
win in 4 Nationwide events and their 4th win in the
last 7 tournaments. The win further adds to their
significant lead as the winningest hybrid on the 2006
PGA and Nationwide Tours.
For the second time in three years, this Nickent user
is a winner at the Knoxville Open. The winner shot
four straight rounds in the 60’s to win the
event by five strokes.

 The
week of the U.S. Open is one of the biggest weeks in
all of golf. For one company, the thrill of being a
major player in a major week is starting to come to
fruition. Nickent Golf claimed the # 1 position
for hybrids in play on the PGA Tour this U.S. Open week,
and had a 2nd place finish at the Open by the # 3 player
on the PGA Tour.
Fifty-three Nickent hybrids were put into play this
week at two events, beating the next closest manufacturers
by over 10 clubs. Three companies have set themselves
apart from the pack on the PGA Tour this year for hybrid
usage, with the rest well behind in the overall club
count. Nickent has set themselves apart from these other
two hybrid makers by defeating them in almost every
category of success. |
Nickent
Golf, already the winningest hybrid on the 2006 PGA and
Nationwide Tours going into the weekend, won again Sunday
for Nickent’s third win in the last six Nationwide
Tour events!
The victory came at the LaSalle Bank Open, the largest
purse event on the Nationwide Tour. Many players call
this week's tournament one of the Nationwide Tour's "Major
Championships." In addition to the largest payout,
the Chicago event also attracts huge crowds and has difficult
playing conditions that allowed only five players to break
par. |
 |
More PGA Tour professionals chose Nickent
hybrids over all other hybrids on the PGA and Nationwide
Tours this week. Nickent accounted for 31% of all hybrids
put into play on the two tours, while the next closest
manufacturer had only 24%. The number three ranking
manufacturer had 15% of the hybrids in play. Eight other
companies combined for the remaining 30%.
It’s just one more attribute Nickent Gof can add
to their long list of accomplishments on the 2006 PGA
Tours.

After three playoff holes, the winner of
this week's Henrico County Open on the Nationwide Tour
was able to celebrate his first win since the 2002 Honda
Classic on the PGA Tour. Only Nickent Golf was able to
start celebrating a little earlier than the champion.
The reason?
Both players in the playoff were playing Nickent's new
3DX DC hybrids. In fact, 5 of the Top 5 finishers were
playing 3DX DC hybrids!
The win makes Nickent's 3DX hybrids the winningest hybrid
on the 2006 PGA and Nationwide Tours. Nickent now has
six wins on the PGA Tours from 2005-2006, including back-to-back
wins at the Henrico County Open. This year's champion
put a 3DX DC in his bag just three weeks ago in Virginia
Beach. |

Another week, another milestone for Nickent
Golf on the PGA Tours. Two weeks ago, Nickent won its
third Nationwide Tour event at the BMW Pro Am at the Cliffs.
Last week, Nickent was in the bag of the #2 player on
the PGA TOUR when he won the Wachovia Championship.
This week, Nickent set a new record for the amount of
hybrids put into play in a PGA TOUR or Nationwide Tour
event. At the Nationwide Tour's Rheem Classic in Arkansas,
45 Nickent hybrids were in play. That staggering number
accounts for 36% of all hybrids in play at the event.
