Nickent’s master designer, John Hoeflich has designed a gorgeous forged cavity back iron with the goal of being "Golf's Most Playable Player's Iron". The chrome-plated 4DX Pro combines the classic good looks of a blade iron with the forgiving features of a perimeter-weighted iron. It was designed with a very thin top line, minimal offset and a straight leading edge, to provide the ultimate in shotmaking.

The 4DX Pro features a tungsten-polymer insert (XW Insert), dampens vibration at impact, reduces shock and vibration and gives this cavity back iron a " muscle back" feel off the face. The XW Insert allows for versatility in custom fitting options (+/- 4 degrees of loft and lie) and provides a soft, responsive feel. Nickent has the ability to control the amount of tungsten in the insert without being bulky and taking away from its eye-catching clubhead design. Using the XW Insert plug vs. a metal plug gives Nickent the flexibility to move around significant amounts of weight without losing feel. That's a significant improvement in iron design because it feels more solid.

The new 4DX is the new version of the Tour popular 3DX Pro Iron (over 20 players on Nationwide Tour chose the 3DX Pro Irons), but there have been significant shape changes. Tests show the 4DX Pro is significantly longer than the original design. The 4DX pro features premium components like the Lamkin NNG grip and the Nippon 1180GH shaft. The 1180gh shaft is designed specifically for Nickent by Nippon Golf Shafts.

The difference between Nippon and other mid-weight steel shafts is that Nippon Shafts are 100 percent made in a state-of-the-art Japanese factory using unique proprietary materials and a specialized heat-treatment process. The N.S. Pro 1180GH iron weighs in at 118 grams and is constant weighted in the 3-iron through pitching wedge.
